Aspascia Duncan, age 61, a remarkable spirit born on November 25, 1964, in Knoxville, Tennessee, embarked on her final journey on February 13, 2026, in the tranquil embrace of her Port St. Joe, Florida home, surrounded by the warmth of family.
A dedicated registered nurse for many years, Aspascia devoted her life to caring for others until her health would not let her. Her infectious laughter and luminous joy made her not just a caregiver, but a beacon of light to all those who crossed her path. Aspascia’s humor transcended the ordinary; she reveled in making everyone around her laugh, capturing the hearts of friends and family alike with her playful charm.
In 2013, drawn by her cherished love of coastal life, Aspascia traded the hills of Oak Ridge, TN for the sun-kissed shores of Port St. Joe. The beach, the sunsets, and even the tales of mermaids were threads woven into the fabric of her soul. Her love for the ocean mirrored her zest for life—a vibrant testament to the joy she found in the simple pleasures of existence.
Reading was another beloved refuge for Aspascia, but her true heart belonged to her family. In particular, her grandson Vincent, affectionately known as "Vinny," was the center of her universe—an endless source of love and pride that filled her days with a glowing warmth.
Aspascia adored her K-9 companion, Carlos, the depth of their bond illustrated her capacity for love in all its forms—whether two-legged or four.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter, Taylor Duncan and spouse, Sean Rice, and her son, Corey Adams. Aspascia also leaves her cherished siblings: her brother Todd Montgomery and his wife Diane, and her sisters Renee Nichols with Randal, and Hope Norris with Jerry, all of whom will forever miss her radiant presence.
Aspascia was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Walter Lynn Redmon and Sondra Faye Hill Redmon.
With every wave that crashes upon the shores of Florida, with every sunset that graces the coast, we will feel Aspascia’s vibrant energy—a spirit unbound by time or space, destined to remain in our hearts. Though she has departed, her laugh, her love, and her luminous spirit will live on in the echoing memories of all she touched. Rest peacefully, dear Aspascia, as you journey into the sunlit realms, forever cherished and unforgettable.
Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
