Bonnie Louise Shiver, 88, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of love, strength, and cherished memories.
Born on August 1, Bonnie's story was one of remarkable resilience. At only three years old, she lost her mother. As she grew, she helped care for her baby sister, who was only a few months old at the time. Those early experiences shaped the compassionate, selfless woman she would become—one who spent her life putting the needs of others before her own.

On February 4, 1954, Bonnie married the love of her life, Dewey Delma Shiver. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, hard work, and unwavering devotion to one another. Their home was always filled with warmth, good food, laughter, and open arms for anyone who walked through the door.

Bonnie found joy in traveling, preparing meals for the people she loved, and spending time with her family. Whether it was around the dinner table, on a family trip, or during life's everyday moments, she had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed, cared for, and deeply loved. Her greatest happiness came from seeing her family together.

To her family, she was more than a mother and grandmother—she was the heart of the home, the keeper of traditions, the voice of encouragement, and the steady presence who reminded everyone what unconditional love looked like. Her kindness, strength, and generous spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Hannah Bell Creamer; and her siblings, Jessie Mae Sapp, William Creamer, B.W. Creamer, Ukie Creamer, Thomas Creamer, Anna Belle Tharp, Ruth Harris, and Ethel Creamer.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Dewey Delma Shiver; her children, Angeline (Bruce) Millender, Stephanie (David) Barber, Renee (Gary) Griffin, and Dale (Hope) Shiver; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Ethan) Way, David (Jessica) Barber, Chase (Hannah) Millender, Rio (Megan) Shiver, Corey Griffin, and Ethan Griffin; her great-grandchildren, Ashton Way, Ally Barber, Lilah Millender, Beckett Way, Macey Griffin, Lake Shiver, Case Millender, Miles Barber, Jase Griffin, Davis Barber, and Keys Barber; and her sister, Magdeline Mary Polous. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Services will be held on Thursday,  August 6, 2026, at Redemption Point Eastpoint Church of God with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time, and the funeral at 11:00 a.m Eastern Time. A committal service will be held at Eastpoint Cemetery following the funeral.

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Bonnie's love lives on in every recipe shared, every family gathering, every story told, and every act of kindness inspired by the beautiful example she set. She taught us that the greatest measure of a life is not found in wealth or accomplishments, but in the love we give to others. Her memory will forever be a blessing, and her legacy will continue through the family she loved with all her heart.
