Enterprise, Alabama

Bradley Allen Blackmon, affectionately known as "Brad," passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at his residence in Enterprise, Alabama at the age of 40. Born on March 9, 1985, at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Florida, he grew up in the Overstreet Community and later lived in Wewahitchka, Florida, Olathe, Kansas, and Enterprise, Alabama.

Brad spent many years of his life dedicated to his career as a Land Surveyor and CAD Technician, ultimately transitioning into the role of a landscaper. His educational journey began at Highland View Elementary School from kindergarten through sixth grade, culminating in his graduation from Port St. Joe High School in 2003. He furthered his education by attending Gulf Coast Community College in Port St. Joe, Florida.

Throughout his life, Brad was known for his unwavering willingness to help others. He devoted considerable time to caring for his grandmother until her passing, and he had a remarkable ability to share his keen sense of humor, particularly with those he loved. His appreciation for all living things was evident, and he often expressed gratitude for the kindness shown to him by others.

Brad's greatest joy came from spending time with his daughter, Emma Whitlee Blackmon, and fostering connections within his extended family, including her cousins and their friends. He cherished the moments spent playing, entertaining, and teaching children, and many referred to him affectionately as "Uncle Brad."

An avid outdoorsman, Brad found solace in activities such as fishing, swimming, camping, and, above all, gardening. He also had a passion for music in all its forms and enjoyed dancing, particularly showcasing his talent for "Moon Walking." Additionally, he relished attending church services accompanied by his grandmother, sister, niece, and nephews, which played an important role in his life. His curious mind drove him to delve into ancestry research, dedicating hours to uncovering the stories of his family tree. Brad was also handy at trouble shooting electronic equipment and had a great fascination with modern technology.

Brad is survived by his daughter, Emma Whitlee Blackmon, and her mother, Gabbie Blackmon Raffield; his mother, Neva Gail Rogers Blackmon, and partner Doyle Gaylor; his father, Stevie Allen Blackmon, and wife Tammy; two sisters, Stephanie Bailey and husband Chip, and Neva Elizabeth "Beth" Blackmon; nieces, Aubry Bailey and Neva JoLynn Marie Baker; nephews, Joseph Allen Maze Cooper and Joshua Deloyd Cooper; as well as his uncle Billy Blackmon and wife Susan; special cousins, Cathy Adams and Aaron Adams; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Brad was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gene and Katie Rogers, and his paternal grandparents, Woodrow and Kathleen Blackmon.

A Celebration of Brad's life will be planned for a later date.

Rest in peace Brad, you will be missed.
