Carli Danielle Hunt

Carli Danielle Hunt, 31, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026, at her residence in St. George Island, Florida. Born on July 7, 1995, in Alliance, Ohio, Carli’s life touched many through her warmth, compassion, and unwavering generosity.

Carli moved to Franklin County in 2008 from her childhood home in Ohio. A proud high school graduate, Carli involved herself wholeheartedly during her school years. She found joy in participating in the school band and cherished memories made amidst the camaraderie and music. She also shone in beauty pageants, embracing these moments with grace and enthusiasm.

Her professional journey led her to the hospitality industry, where she worked in vacation rentals.

Carli’s personality was defined by her selflessness. Known for always helping others and “giving the shirt off her back” to anyone in need, she stood as an example of kindness and care throughout her life. She was happiest surrounded by those she loved—her family was her world, and she treasured every moment spent together. At home, she enjoyed listening to music, a passion that brought her joy and comfort.

She is survived by her loving sister, Macey Hunt and brother in law, Mitchell Hayes; step-father, Joe Chastain; step-brothers, Austin Chastain and Blake Chastain; step-sister, Denim Chastain; grandmother, Patricia Votaw; grandfather, Ed Darnell and nieces, Nora Hayes and Freya Hayes.

She was preceded in death by her devoted mother, Jayme Votaw; her father, Johnny Hunt; and her grandfather, Timothy Votaw. 

Carli Danielle Hunt’s kindness, loving spirit, and willingness to help others will long be remembered. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and love that will be carried forward by her family and friends, whose lives she touched so deeply.
