Charles John Walls "Chuck"

Born December 13, 1950 to May 6, 2025

Charles J. Walls, lovingly known as "Chuck" was 74 and of Port St. Joe, Florida passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025. He was surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on December 13, 1950 in Garden City MI. Chuck spent most of his early life there before bravely serving his country in Vietnam War. After returning home, Chuck settled in Lake Orion MI. He worked at General Motors Truck and Bus and raised three children. The children are Angela Graven, Nicholas Walls and Christopher Watts. During his years in Lake Orion, Chuck was a well-known figure in the community, especially on softball field. He played in the Lake Orion men's softball league. Other various softball teams for many years.

Chuck had a love for the outdoors and cherished his summers traveling across Michigan in his motor home with family. Winters were just as special spent snow mobiling with loved ones.

Later in life Chuck moved to Gaylord, MI., where he met the love of his life Chele Walls. With the union he welcomed Cheles three sons Jeremy Stout, Nicholas Stout and Zachary Stout. He welcomed these boys into his heart as his own.

Known for his magnetic personality and adventurous sprint, Chuck was truly one of a kind.

He never meets a stranger and could tell you about the best bar in town and who asked which to hit around town.

Buying semi-truck loads of fireworks to host legendary bonfires. Chuck stories and laughter lit up every gathering. Despite being born just outside of Detroit. Chuck was a diehard Green Bay Packers Fan and never missed a chance to cheer them on.

After retiring from GM he and Chele hit the road following NASCAR and exploring the beauty of the United States together. Chuck Found joy in music even in his final days. Music brought his peace and comfort. He was proud of his family more than anything, always ready to share a story or laugh about his children and the knowledge he gave to his children, grandchildren, or friends.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife Chele Walls and children Angels Graven, Nick (Michelle) Walls, Chris (Shannon) Walls, stepchildren Jeremy (Amanda) Stout, Nick (Kelly) Stout, ach (Kelly) Stout. Devoted grandfather Owen, Haleigh, Joselynn, Jeremy Jr., Alana, Aiden, Olivia, Madison, Jacob, Ella, Bristol.

Chucks Legacy of love, laughter and loyalty will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Plans for a Celebration of Life are forthcoming.

Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
