Clara J. Dorsey

Mrs. Clara J. Dorsey, 86, passed away Thursday morning, May 7, 2026, in Frostproof, Florida where she has resided for the last 16 years. A native of Wewahitchka, Florida, she enjoyed walking outdoors, exercising, dining out at her favorite restaurants, listening to old Country Gospel music and attending church. She retired after 24 years of working as a Pharmacy associate in Lake Wales, FL.

She was preceded in death by her son, the late Gene Earl Dorsey, followed by her husband, the late Gene I. Dorsey. Survivors include her son, Gary Dorsey, Lake Wales, her daughters, Lisa Dorsey, Lake Wales, Melinda Dorsey Gravley, Frostproof, and many grandchildren and great -grandchildren. Her surviving siblings include: Joyce McDaniel Schaeffer, Cleveland McDaniel, Sandra McDaniel Blankenship, and the late Pat McDaniel. She was the daughter of the late Grady McDaniel and Pearl Fillingim McDaniel.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m.(CST) on Sunday, May 17,2026 at Jehu Cemetery in Wewahitchka, Florida with Jeremy Chase officiating.
