Dolores Marie Marcum

Dec 1, 1985 — Jul 13, 2026

Eastpoint, Florida

Dolores Marie Marcum, beloved daughter, mother, granddaughter, and friend, was carried to heaven on angels’ wings on Monday, July 13, 2026, at the young age of 40. Born on December 1, 1985 in Panama City, Florida, Dolores spent her entire life in the close-knit community of Franklin County.

Dolores is survived by her devoted mother, Rena Kay Enfinger, and her father, Tony Ray Nowling. Her greatest pride and deepest joy were her two cherished sons, Emmunel Marcum and Thomas Marcum, who will forever hold onto the memories of their loving mother. She was also a treasured granddaughter to Jeanette Nowling.

She is also survived by her brother, Justin Cassell, and sister-in-law, Casey Mitchell and their children; sister, Cynthia Hutchins and her children; aunts and uncles, Charlotte Crosby, Mark, Pamelia Tucker, Robert Estes, and Robert Lashley.

Dolores was predeceased by her grandmother, Henrietta Cassell; grandfather, Thomas Chumney; great-grandmother, Henrietta Estes; and great-grandfather, Chelsea Lewis Estes. She is also reunited with her uncle, George Allison Cassell; aunts, Karen Cassell and Ona Jean Cassell; her nephew, Archie Busby; and her cousin, Candise Whiddon.

Dolores graduated from high school, an accomplishment that marked the beginning of many proud and purposeful moments in her life. She was foremost a Christian, whose faith provided her comfort, guidance, and an unwavering sense of purpose. Her proudest achievement was her role as a mother, as the most important thing to her was her two boys, whom she cherished above all else.

An enthusiastic and loyal Florida State University fan, Dolores’ love for her Seminoles was matched only by her affection for the great outdoors. She could often be found working in the yard or engaged in her favorite activities: hunting and fishing. These pursuits not only brought her joy but also symbolized her resilient, spirited, and adventurous nature.

Family and friends are invited to remember and honor Dolores at a visitation on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Eastern Time at Comforter Funeral Home in Port St Joe, FL. This will be followed by a graveside service at 11:00 am at Magnolia Cemetery Apalachicola, FL where Dolores will be laid to her final rest.

Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
