Earl Eugene Moody

Earl Eugene Moody age  53, life long resident of Jackson County passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Jackson Hospital in Marianna.

Earl was well known for his fun-loving personality and was often the life of the party. He always had a bubbly demeanor and a smile on his face that could light up a room. Earl was an assistant manager at Dollar General where he was dedicated to his work.

His hobbies included fishing, cooking, and playing with his grandchildren. Spending time with family and friends brought him great joy, and he cherished every moment he had with them.

Earl is survived by his four children: Nick Moody and wife Marrissa of New York, Tyler Moody and wife Amber of Nevada, Sarah Smothers and husband Jordan of Chipley, Florida, and Annabell Moody of Marianna. He leaves behind a sister, Darlene Wiley and her husband Roger of Alford, Florida, along with three beloved grandchildren: Brysen Lee Earl Moody, Daisie Jane Smothers, and Oliver Wyatt Moody. Earl's best friend throughout life, Carrie Hill of Alford, Florida, also survives him along with his mother in law, Sheila Heafner, who he thought of as a second mom.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Moody and Deborah Dairty Moody, and a brother, Richard Moody. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorialization will be by cremation and a Celebration of Life service will be planned at a later date.
