Edna Merle Odom

Edna Merle Odom, 80, of Eastpoint, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2025 surrounded by her family.

Born November 9, 1944 to Walter B. and Polly N. Creamer in Southport, FL, Merle married C.L. Odom and together they resided in Eastpoint, where they raised their four children and recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. Merle dedicated her life to her family, her community, and above all, her faith. While she worked in the seafood industry for over 30 years, her highest and most cherished work was ministering to others and serving the Lord.

Merle was a devoted member of the Eastpoint Church of God for 58 years. She touched countless lives through her acts of kindness, encouragement, prayers, and steadfast devotion to her faith. Merle found great joy in spending time with her family, cooking their favorite meals, and baking cakes.

Merle is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles “C.L.” Odom; her beloved children: Charles Odom and wife Alicia, Ellis Odom, Ladale McAnnally and husband Earl, Beverly Sapp and husband Jamey; her niece Gail Walley; 12 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Cathy Bentley and Maida Gilbert; and one brother, Mark Creamer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter B. and Polly N. Creamer; five brothers: Junior Creamer, Tommy Creamer, Charles Creamer, Quention Creamer, and Donnie Creamer; and her great-granddaughter, Charlie Kate Odom.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM Eastern Time at Eastpoint Church of God, Avenue A, Eastpoint, FL with Pastor Ronald Crum and Pastor Larry Sterling officiating. Burial to follow at Eastpoint Cemetery.

Merle will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering faith, love of family, and dedication to serving the Lord in all that she did.
