Emma Lee Guillot

April 15, 1931 — December 10, 2025

Port St. Joe, Florida

Emma Lee Guillot completed her journey on earth the evening of Wednesday, December 10th in the home of her eldest daughter and son-in-law at the age of 94. While the later days of her life required a brief departure from the place she always called home, her children are honored to lay their mother to rest in Port St. Joe on Friday, December 19th at Holly Hill Cemetery. She will rest beside her husband of 57 years, Wallace “PeeWee” Guillot, who preceded her in death.

Emma Lee was born in Seminole County Georgia, but moved at a very young age to Highland View where she would spend all but the last year of her life. She was the youngest of 6 children born to William Perry Coleman and Mary Alice Coleman who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers Willam “Bill” and Thomas Coleman and three sisters Maurine (Coleman) Sanders, Audis (Coleman) Watts and Alice (Coleman) Macomber. She met and married her loving and devoted husband, Wallace “Pee Wee” Guillot in this area. Together they created a loving home for three children where they taught principles based on the Word of God.

Emma Lee parents were charter members of Highland View Baptist church where she served as a loyal and faithful member. Emma Lee cherished this church and church family in decades past and present as it is a cornerstone for her family having been the place where her children and many of her grandchildren received Christ as their savior and/or professed their faith publicly. Her church family never went without her prayers.

Emma Lee will be missed dearly by those who knew her well, but her memory as a devoted God-fearing and faithful woman will not fade. She was a woman who cherished her family and small circle of friends. The life she strived to live will be cherished by her family as they make efforts to honor the legacy she and Wallace created. Until her last breath, she sought her strength and comfort from the Lord above. She valued simplicity over extravagance, integrity over popularity and always strived for peace over turmoil. Those who had the opportunity to receive her love, wisdom, and simply sit in her presence know it only gives a glimpse of the woman she was and the life she lived.

Emma Lee is survived by her children, Dewana ( Guillot) Johnson and husband Ricky of Ashford, AL, Donny Guillot and wife Yvonne of Overstreet, Serena (Guillot) Fleming and husband James “flip”. Grandchildren: Heather Morris and husband Kerry, Rikki Leigh Watson and husband Brent, Lacey Johnson, Kale Guillot and wife Kiersta Guillot, Devin Amlong and husband Stevan, Bryson Fleming and wife Madison, Beau Grayson Fleming and wife Hannah. Great grands: Shelbie Hardy and husband Oaklyn, Brayden Morris, Anniston Morris, and Kruz Guillot. Great Great Grandson Conley Mills Hardy.

A celebration of her life will be held at Holly Hill Cemetery, Friday December 19th at 11:00 AM Eastern Time. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you donate to Highland View Baptist Church https://buy.stripe.com/fZe4jq4Ne09S7PW000 (310 Ling Street, Port St. Joe, FL 32456) in her memory.
