Jason McCoy Richter, born November 5, 1973, passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at the age of 52.
Jason was preceded in death by his father, Larry Richter; his mother, Gail Richter; his grandparents, Archie and Lillie Richter, and Eldridge Haddock, and his uncle, Tommy Haddock, (Gail).
He is survived by his stepmother, Mary Richter; his stepsister, April Williams; and his stepbrother, Johnny Williams. He is also survived by his grandmother, Eunice Haddock; his uncles, Kenny Haddock (Pattie) and Harlen Haddock (Donna); along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Jason’s final wish was for his ashes to be spread in the National Forest by his cousin, Brad, a request that will be honored.
