Jeanne Buchanan

Jeanne Buchanan, 75, of Panama City, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026. She was born April 19, 1951, in Panama City, Florida. Jeanne graduated with the Class of 1969 from Wewahitchka High School. She retired from the Panama City paper mill with 35 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an active part of the "Gator Gals". Go Wewa Gators! She truly cherished the relationships and the bonds that she had with those closest to her. She enjoyed seeing her co-workers that became family at the Papermill retiree luncheons and loved spending time playing weekly card games with her "girls". Her family, the Great Smoky Mountains, cooler weather and especially butterflies brought her so much joy.

She is preceded in death by her father, CH Buchanan; her mother, Jacqueline Buchanan; her brother James "Jim" Buchanan; and her nephew, Craig Buchanan. She is survived by her son Charles Field (Erica); her nephew Christopher Buchanan (DeAnna) and her great-nephew Easton Buchanan.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, CST, Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Jehu Cemetery with Joy Gay Johnson officiating and Rev. Dudley Balmer providing the invocation. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 AM, CST.
