Jeffrey Schaeper

Mr. Jeffrey Schaeper, 56, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 in Port St. Joe, Florida.

Jeff was born on January 22, 1970, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Ann and Raymond Schaeper. Jeff spent most of his life in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended Guardian Angels Grade School, McNicholas High School, and Northern Kentucky University, where he was president of the Pike Fraternity.

Jeff enjoyed many things throughout his life, including going to various sporting events with his kids and his wife. To get further involved with sports, he coached his son in soccer and football. Jeff enjoyed watching his kids excel at sports just like he did in football at McNicholas High School. He enjoyed watching his daughter play soccer all the way through high school. He also enjoyed watching his son play football at McNicholas and lacrosse at Hanover College. Also, he was a member of University of Cincinnati’s athletic board and a booster for McNicholas High School and St. Veronica. Jeff was an instrumental part of adding a lacrosse program to McNicholas High School with his donations. He was part of the team that made Penn Station Stadium a reality. He was a diehard University of Cincinnati football and basketball fan, and he was so proud when his daughter went on to attend the University of Cincinnati. For his entire life, he was a huge Bengals fan, and he always had hope they would eventually win a Super Bowl.

Jeff enjoyed movies, TV shows, and documentaries, especially sharing his favorites with his kids. His favorite channels were the ID channel and History channel. When he would sleep, either one of those channels would be on.

In addition, Jeff was an avid lover of animals. Whenever Jeff saw a lost animal, he would always bring them home and try to find their owners. Throughout his entire life, he always had many pets. The pets that he loved the most in the world were Carver, Blue, and Jordy. This love of animals was passed onto his children.

Furthermore, Jeff loved being by the water. He loved taking his kids on various beach vacations. In his later years, he had multiple houses near lakes or the ocean. He felt most at peace by the water and he enjoyed spending time by and on the water with his family and friends.

If you knew Jeff, he was one of the most generous people you have ever met. He would never hesitate in helping a friend or family member in need. One of the most kind hearted things Jeff ever did was help care for his brother after his car accident. He would visit his brother every day while he was at the hospital and he was there for every step of his recovery. He will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

To honor Jeff’s work at the Wyler Automotive Family, David Wyler provided the following statement:

“On behalf of the entire Jeff Wyler Automotive Family, it is difficult to put into words what Jeff Schaeper meant to our organization and to me personally.

Jeff lived the American dream. Thirty-two years ago, he joined our company selling cars while working his way through college. From the very beginning, he stood out because of his determination, work ethic, grit, and relentless desire to improve. Over the years, he earned every opportunity that came his way, rising from sales consultant to sales manager, general sales manager, general manager, and ultimately one of the senior directors of our organization.

In that role, Jeff led seven dealership locations, inspired more than 500 team members, and helped oversee the sale of nearly 15,000 vehicles each year. His leadership and vision played an important role in helping build the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family into the company it is today.

While Jeff’s accomplishments were extraordinary, they are not what I will remember most. I will remember his passion for this business, his loyalty to our company, his unwavering commitment to his teammates, and the pride he took in helping others succeed. He believed in leading by example, never asking more of anyone else than he was willing to give himself. He earned the respect of everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Jeff leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured by titles, numbers, or years of service alone. His character, integrity, and influence are woven into the fabric of our company and will continue to inspire us for many years to come.

We are profoundly grateful for Jeff’s 32 years of friendship, leadership, and dedication. He helped shape our organization, and his absence will be deeply felt. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. They can take comfort in knowing that Jeff’s legacy will forever live on within the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family and in the thousands of lives he touched throughout his remarkable career.”

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Schaeper; children, Sidney (Tyler) Upchurch, Michael Schaeper; stepchildren, Riley (Ethan) Young, Payne Kizer, Davis Kizer; grandchild, Henry Upchurch; siblings, Natalie (Daren) Anness, Ronald (Lori) Schaeper, Karen Boggs, Ann Ballard; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
