Linda Lane Huie, 83, of Port St. Joe, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born on March 2, 1942, in Port St. Joe, Florida, to Augustus and Vallene Thomas. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend whose warmth, faith, and compassion touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

A woman of unwavering dedication, Linda was a proud Navy wife and mother, faithfully supporting her husband and family through years of service. Her strength, resilience, and love were the heart of her home, providing stability and care no matter where life’s journey took them.

Linda’s love for the Lord guided her throughout her life. She was an active member of both the Port St. Joe Church of Christ and Christ Methodist Church of Port St. Joe, where she found great joy in worship and fellowship.

Creative and resourceful, Linda had a special talent for finding treasures and reinventing them, turning the ordinary into something beautiful. She also found peace and joy in her yard and garden, where she spent countless hours nurturing plants and creating a welcoming space for family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Marvin A. Huie and son in law Jeff and her daughter, Pollyanna Huie Williams and son in law Steve; as well as her siblings, Carolyn Thomas Prudence, Vickie Ayers, and Roger and Kathy Thomas. Linda also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, who will forever cherish her love and guidance.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sammy Joe Huie; her parents, Augustus and Vallene Thomas; and her sibling, Ronnie Thomas.

A memorial service to celebrate Linda’s life will be announced at a later date.
