Marilyn Rose Reynolds

July 16, 1945 — November 1, 2025

Carrabelle, Florida

Marilyn Rose Reynolds (Age 80) Passed away peacefully at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City on November 1st, 2025. She was born July 16, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan. She went on to graduate from Florida State University with a degree in Education. From there she began her lifelong love of teaching, touching the souls and molding the minds of thousands of students that still speak fondly of “Mrs. Reynolds” to this day. She retired from the State of Florida with more than 30 years of service.

When she wasn’t dedicating her life to educating future generations, she was a connoisseur of good books, juking up a dance floor, adoring her animals, or being the taste tester of the finest fried shrimp the Gulf of America had to offer. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, but she never needed a reason to get gifts for family, friends, neighbors, or strangers. She was constantly on the hunt for a deal at Apalachicola yard sales, anywhere she could shop, and prepared for Black Friday Sales like no other.

The only thing greater than her love of giving, animals, reading, and great seafood was her love for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband M. T. Reynolds and dear friends Martha Pearl Ward and Mary Catherine Knight.

She is survived by her daughter Tress (Will), sons Mike (Brenda), Mitchell, Buddy, and Hap. Grandchildren Morgan, Hunter, Caylin, Grace, Will Jr, Steven, Brandon (Ashlee), Christina (Jason), Josh (Kerrie), Melanie (Ford), Jeramie, Lacey, Hayden, and Maddox. Great Grandchildren Kinsley, Easton, Jett, Little Steven, Maddox, Emily, Jayson, Everlee, Baylee, and Madelyn. Nephew Wes (Joann). Great Nephew Adam (Tara). Great Niece Melissa (Ed). Great Grand Nephews Jackson, Casen, Colby, and Cooper. Great Grand Nieces Maci and Della. Numerous other family and friends also live on to cherish her memory.
