Michael Anthony Ellwood

Michael Anthony Ellwood, 66, died Thursday, May 22nd, 2025 surrounded by his family. 

He was born on July 13th, 1958, in Elkton Maryland, the son of the late James and Kathryn Ellwood. 

He is survived by his seven children; Michael Ellwood ( Brenda) and Lynn Wilson (Paul) of Maryland, Dwayne Ellwood ( Mary) of Tennessee, Anthony Ellwood of Georgia, Christopher Ellwood, Shannon Ellwood, Emily Ellwood, and special daughter-in-law, Brook Ellwood, all from Florida, and many grandchildren including Kelsey, Logan, Korbin, Mikey, Kaysen, and Kashton. 

Michael owned his own carpentry business, Master Builders, for 20 years, servicing the Cecil County, Maryland and surrounding areas. Michael also spent many years as a maintenance supervisor of Arundel Sand and Gravel. 

In his later years, Michael relocated to Port Saint Joe, Florida, where he enjoyed spending time with his family and helping the community. 

Michael is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Nancy Elaine Ellwood, who passed away July 16th, 2019. 

He is also preceded in death by his brother Baxter, and two sisters, Helen and Kathy. 

Additional survivors include current wife, Karen Ellwood and sisters Barbara Willen, Theresa Ellwood, Norma Cox, Patricia McKeown, and many nieces and nephews. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 24th, 2025 at 3pm est, at his son Christopher’s house, 220 N. Canal Dr, Port St Joe, FL.
