Paula Wingate Strickland

Paula Wingate Strickland, 62 of Wewahitchka, Fl, passed away peacefully at her home on the afternoon of September 18, 2026, surrounded by friends and family.

Born in Port St. Joe, Fl, she spent her life in nursing until ‘2014 when she started working at a vacation rental company. She loved to fish, be in nature, spend time with her family and most of all serve her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her genuine, caring, personality left a mark on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Cody and Levi Strickland, her sisters Phyllis Wingate and Cyndi Ellzey and many nieces and nephews and her animals. She is preceded in death by her husband Alan Strickland and her parents Iduma and Sterling Preston Wingate.

Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 9, 2026 with visitation beginning at 11:30 am EST and service at 12:00 pm EST. at Beach Baptist Chapel 311 Columbus Street, Port St. Joe, FL 32456
