Phyllis Moore, age 77, a lifelong resident of Port St. Joe, Florida, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, in Panama City, Florida. She was born on June 24, 1947, in Charleston, West Virginia and spent her childhood there until moving to Gulf County, Florida.

Phyllis was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Port St. Joe. Her commitment to community service extended beyond the church; she was involved in various organizations, including the Flower Club, Cancer Society, and the Order of the Eastern Star. Through her efforts, she touched the lives of many and left a lasting impact on those around her.

In her younger years, Phyllis enjoyed square dancing and singing. She also found great fulfillment in tending to her beautiful flower beds However, her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. They were undoubtedly the most important people in her life.

Phyllis is survived by her two children, Alan Sisk (Stephanie) of St. George Island, Florida, and Tina Sullivan (Charlie) of Port St. Joe, Florida. She also leaves behind two sisters, Kaye Turvaville (Jerry) of Tallahassee, Florida, and Donna Ritch (Frankie) of Port St. Joe, Florida. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Jamie Nichols (Allie), Lauren Sisk (Dan Garcia), Cassidy Kelley (Chaz), Brandon Sisk (Maggie), Jake Sisk (Bailey), and Ryan Nichols (Sarah Tucker). In addition, she is honored by her great-grandchildren, Nolan, Jackson, Noah, Braelynn, Lincoln, Lenox, Easton, and Katie.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Jerrell B. Smith and Odell C. Rentz Smith, along with her husbands, Jim Beaman and Bob Moore. She also mourned the loss of her lifelong best friend, Glenda Rosasco, who brought immense joy and companionship into her life.

Visitation for Phyllis Moore will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Port Inn Hall, located at 309 Sixth St, Port St. Joe, Florida, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM Eastern Time at the same location. She will be laid to rest privately at Holly Hill Cemetery.
