Sheila Kaye Lucas, age 56, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025 from four types of cancer. She was born and spent all her life in Port St. Joe, Florida. She was a "Rainbow Baby" for her parents, Daniel and Ruth Lucas. Sheila was a true "Daddy's Girl", but lost him to cancer when she was 13 and her brother Scott was 18. The Siblings shared the same birthday- five years apart. She later had a special relationship with Cecil Pettis, “Faddah" and "Dotter". Reading and animals were her special love-focus. Book lover, animal fanatic and a corn bread craving connoisseur! Being a member of the Band of Gold created many friends and happy memories-the long, hot practice hours - Not so much!
Sheila is survived by her mother, Ruth Pettis, and her brother Scott Lucas and wife Donna; nephew, Chad Lucas and wife Allison; nephew, Jared Lucas and wife Rebekah and their children Daniel, Adriana and William. In her family circle by marriage are Keef Pettis and wife Donna, their sons Ryan and Cameron and families; Also Kevin Petti's and wife Meriann and son Adam and wife Michelle.
At her Request there will not be a service. If would like to send cards or prayers they will be accepted with love and appreciation.
