Sylvinie Marie Ake

Sylvinie “Sybie” Marie Ake, born May 21, 1956 in Wewahitchka Fl., the daughter of Annie & Jake Hysmith. At the age of 69 she went to join her family in the Kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, August 9, 2025.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 50 years, Lyle Russell Ake, and her children Michael Adam Ake & wife Debra, Steven (Buddy) Lyle Ake & wife Crystal, and Stephanie Leann Parker & husband Billy (Gator).

She is also survived by her siblings James Hysmith (Tammy), Billy Hysmith (Faye), Andy Hysmith, Danny Ray Hysmith(Jean), and Kayla Hysmith; her stepmother Ruthann Hysmith; and sister-in-law Connie Hysmith.

Sybie was a proud Nana to Ashlyn Ake & Hannah Mays, Burley & Jake Parker, Zoey, Aubrey & Sadie Ake and a great-grandmother (Nana) to Leilanee Sanchez.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Kimberly Suzanne Ake, her parents Annie and Jake Hysmith, and her brother Oscar Hysmith.

A dedicated business owner and avid cruiser, Sybie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her legacy of love and strength will forever live on.

Services will be held at Glad Tiding Assembly of God on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 with the visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. Central Time and the funeral at 11:00 A.M. Central Time. Mrs. Ake will be laid to rest at Buckhorn Cemetery in Wewahitchka, Florida.

To say it in her father’s words—Sybie was a gal “liked a lot” by all who knew her.
