William Reid Walters, known lovingly by family and friends as Reid, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, in Port St. Joe, Florida at the young age of 42, leaving behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy in the hearts of all who knew him.

Born on September 29, 1983, in Panama City, Florida, Reid was a lifelong resident of the community that shaped him. Reid graduated from Bay High School in Panama City and then attended college for two years. He worked as a chef at local restaurants and was a dj at a local radio station. 

Outside of his professional life, Reid was known as an avid reader, always eager for the next great story, and remained a lifelong Star Wars enthusiast. He found great joy in the simple things, especially the companionship of his beloved cats.

He is survived by his father, Danny Walters and wife Juanetta of Panama City Beach, Florida; his brothers, Andrew Walters, Nicholas Walters, and Benjamin Walters, all of Panama City Beach, Florida; and his uncle, Johnny Walters of Panama City, Florida. He was preceded in death by his mother, Debra Hoehn Walters. 

Reid’s life, though brief, was lived with passion, generosity, and a true appreciation for the people and places that made him who he was. His legacy of love and connection will endure, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing him.
